Responsibilities include maintenance of the hardware/networking platform (Win 2000, Linux and Netware servers, T1, ISDN, Citrix,VPN) and all changes to the legacy Relational DBMS billing and driver settlement applications. 5 servers and 50+ workstations at corporate and over 100 workstations in over 30 remote US locations. Various projects over a one year period consisting of premiums and billing, taxes, rate calculation and overrides, Y2K, EDI and ad-hoc queries and reporting using a relational DBMS. Three staff programmer/analysts supervised.
Radian Guaranty Philadelphia, PA Developed and enhanced RADAR, a field productivity audit tool written in an object oriented relational DBMS deployed on laptops for data collection and audit support work.
Agri Supply Corporation Raleigh, NC Developed a custom Retail and Distribution system for a chain of Agricultural Supply stores using an object oriented relational DBMS on Windows 95. The application included Inventory, Purchasing/Receiving and POS.
DMS Systems Rocky Mount, NC Developed StorePro, a PC based commercial package for retailers that included Inventory, POS, AR, AP, GL and Purchasing/Receiving for medium-sized auto parts retailers. The system was written entirely in a relational DBMS and was derived from the SBT Professional Series 2.0 product.

Gulfstream Land Development Plantation, Florida Designed, wrote and implemented an online Mortgage Notes Receivable system for Gulfstream Land Development. The system allowed for variable, fixed and balloon payment schedules, as well as a combination of all three within one note. The system allowed for a fixed interest rate, or varied as a function of the current prime rate. Hardware was an HP‑3000.

Mackenzie Investments (Mutual Fund Manager) Boca Raton, Florida Project managed an application for the design, development and implementation of a Wire Room Order System and Telemarketing system for a large mutual funds manager. The system ran on a 50 node Novell LAN and application systems were written in DATAFLEX. The system was integrated to the company's transfer agent (Bank of Boston) for daily upload/downloads of data.
Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Project Manager for the design and development of a Jury Management System (JURIS) for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida. This application was the prototype system selected by the State Court Administrator's Office (Florida) to be made available to all other circuits in the State.
Coral Gables Police Dept Coral Gables, Florida Project Manager for modifying and installing SCOR (System for Comprehensive Offense and Arrest Reporting) in a Novell LAN environment for the Coral Gables Police Department.

CCHP Inc. Boca Raton, Florida Directed the development of a requirements definition for a large temporary healthcare personnel provider. All facets of the operational as well as financial requirements were developed to run in an AT&T 3B2 / Informix/Unix environment. Palm Beach County School District West Palm Beach, Florida Directed the Pilot automation project for the Palm Beach County School District. The pilot consisted of 2 LANs at a high school and a middle school using Novell Netware SFT 2.1, SNA Gateways and X.25 Gateways. The eventual system would consist of 130 LANs and more the 4500 workstations. Novell and AST Research were co-venture partners with Palm Beach Group in this project.
Palm Beach County Sheriff West Palm Beach, Florida Directed the design and implementation of ICIS for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The system provided for the bridging of LANs at local law enforcement agencies and PBSO for the collection of arrest and offense information for reporting to the State of Florida.
The Jockey Club Miami, Florida Directed the design and implementation of a LAN and System 36 for all operational and financial operations of a major club and hotel.
Medical Counsultant Plantation, Florida Directed the design of a system to catch invalid medical claims for Medicare and insurance processing. The system was developed as a commercial package for a health care consulting firm to be implemented in a multi-user environments on PC's.
Palm Beach County Sheriff West Palm Beach, Florida Directed the redesign of the booking and warrants system of Palm Beach County. A review and IBM revision of all associated procedures were also performed.
Monroe County 16th Judicial Circuit Key West, Florida Directed a long‑range planning and implementation project to upgrade and redesign the Criminal Justice System for the 16th Judicial Circuit of Florida. Subsequently managed the system Implementation.

Coulter Electronics Hialeah, Florida Directed and participated in the implementation and conversion of the MAS‑E manufacturing system for an electronics manufacturer. Modules included Engineering, Cost Control and Shop Floor Reporting. Implementation included conversion of DL/1 calls to IDMS calls in the purchased source code while maintaining all vendor warranties on the software.
IT Consulting Projects City of Lauderhill Lauderhill, Florida Technical Partner for this City of Lauderhill, Florida project. Palm Beach Group was the consultant to the City for the development, issuance and evaluation of RFP's that solicited vendors for a replacement financial system. All departments of the City would become users of the new system which would include operational applications as well.
Hughes Television Network New York, NY Technical Partner for the design, development and implementation of the Financial and Traffic Scheduling modules for Hughes Television Network in New York. The system managed all resources necessary for all events for satellite "backhaul" for local or network feeds. All invoices for these events were then matched with variances calculated. This information was then merged into the financial database. This system was subsequently evaluated by the CBS Newsnet and Sports divisions.

Eastern Airlines Employees Credit Union Miami, Florida Provided implementation and negotiation assistance between a large federally chartered credit union and systems vendor. The environment consisted of twin VAX 780's and multiple ATM networks.
Palm Beach County 15th Judicial Circuit West Palm Beach, Florida Directed the development and implementation of a hardware and software migration plan for the Clerk of Courts of Palm Beach County. The migration included relocation and upgrade of operating and communications systems from an IBM 4341 group 2 to a 4381 model 2 under VM/DOS/VSE.
